Kyle S. Mitchell

Attorney at Law
kyleI began working at the firm in the summer of 2011, between my first and second years of law school, as an intern. After graduating from law school and spending the majority of my breaks from school working at the firm, I was hired full time in 2013. After admission to the bar, I became an Associate with the firm in the spring of 2014.

As a Whatcom County native, I grew up in Everson and graduated from Nooksack Valley High School in 2005. I moved east of the mountains to attend Central Washington University. I graduated from Central Washington University in 2009, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and a minor in Economics.

In Ellensburg, I spent my time volunteering in the CWU Math Tutor Lab and was briefly a member at the Ellensburg Golf and Country Club. After graduation, I returned to Whatcom County and lived in Birch Bay. I took a year off from school, worked as a laborer at a beverage distribution company, applied to law schools, and volunteered at the Sumas Food Bank. In 2010, I was accepted and began attending the University of Oregon School of Law, in Eugene, Oregon.

While living in Eugene, I attended as many sporting events as I had time for and played golf when the weather cooperated. I graduated in 2013, and returned to Washington to study for and take the Washington bar exam and begin my career. The majority of my life, thus far, has been spent attending school full-time.

2014-11-12 12.03.05I am a member of the Washington State Bar Association, Whatcom County Bar Association and the Washington State Association for Justice (WSAJ). I am always looking for ways to get involved in the community and one day hope to pursue an additional degree, when time allows.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing basketball, golfing, watching movies, cooking, food critiquing, and spending time with friends and family. I have been very lucky that all of my siblings decided to return to Whatcom County to start their own families, allowing me to spoil and annoy my niece and nephews.
